![]() ![]() I'd love to hear more about your experience, especially in regards to the food. That being said, and without knowing what day or time you were in, I can understand how happy hour, or a busy Friday or Saturday, might not be the perfect time for kids at Mutiny, so I apologize if you had some little buccaneers in your group and they didn't enjoy themselves. Many of our servers have kids of their own and are great at entertaining children of all ages. We have a solid kid's menu with games, crayons, puzzles and more to help them feel at home. As for the kidos, children are always welcome, and our staff makes every effort to make them feel at home. We're always focused on improving what we do, and we'll continue to work on the layout until we have a formula that proves comfortable for our guests. We're still getting used to the new digs, and with any new venture there are always challenges that you don't foresee until you get the ball rolling. I know we're a little bit smaller, and we actually have a different style of table on order to hopefully help with the cramped atmosphere, but this has most certainly proven to be our biggest hurdle. Customer feedback is our best tool for improving on what we do, and while it's always nice to hear the positive stuff, we find that the constructive criticisms we sometimes receive is actually more useful. Super disappointed.Sharon, I'm so sorry you don't like the new place, but I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write a review. their host was by far the best I've ever seen. They don't even have karaoke anymore which was half the reason I went. I really wanted to like the new location because I loved the bar so much, but it's just so different. ![]() I think a good bit of people who used to go regularly must've stopped going. I didn't see any of the people i used to see there on the nights I went. I feel sorry for the waitresses that have to navigate that maze when the place is packed I could barely make it to the bathroom. The layout of the eating area is horrible. Both times I went I felt like I could barely move. The only walls that aren't windows are grey. nothing but the props they brought from the last place make this bar look pirate-y. The atmosphere feels more like an after work bar. I have gone twice, and am even open to going once more, but so far I'm really upset with how much I feel it's changed. However after they moved, in my opinion, a lot changed. It always seemed like Cheers to me, in that even when a stranger would strike up a convo with you, they seemed like a friend. ![]() The atmosphere was homey, it never seemed overcrowded, and even when every seat was taken, you still felt like you could move around. We will definitely return! Almost forgot to mention, they have about 120 varieties of rum to taste!īefore mutiny moved, they were a great place. The place is not very big so you have to get there early for Happy Hour, but this place was well worth the trip. Finally after Joe forced us (LOL) to try the dessert, which was a sampler of all the desserts piled on top of one another, we were ready to leave. We then ordered the cannonballs (deep fried macaroni) and the gumbo which was excellent. I am the DD so I was drinking water at this point. My wife and I hung around after our daughter and son-in-law left and continued to sample more food and drink. The manager, Brian stopped by to see if everything was OK, and we told him how much we were impressed by the food, drinks, and service. Note that these beers samples are 8 ounces! We tried 3 of the varieties and all were very tasty. In addition to Happy Hour food specials, they offer a "Flight" tastings of 3 of the beers on tap. They were promptly delivered and tasted great. ![]() We ordered nachos, a basket of fries and some wings. He was super friendly and took the time to explain the menu and the drink options, as well as answering our many questions, since this was our first visit. It was a 30 mile dive so we were very hungry and thirsty when we arrived. We were seated at a table by a window and immediately approached by our server, Joe. My wife and I with our daughter and son-in-law visited the Mutiny Pirate Bar and Grille in Pasadena for their Sunday Happy Hour. ![]()
